modern-minimalist-disc-lantern-table-lamp-cordless-rechargeable
Modern Minimalist Disc & Lantern Table Lamp – Cordless, Rechargeable

Modern Minimalist Disc & Lantern Table Lamp – Cordless, Rechargeable

Pick it up, carry it to the table, touch the base, and there is light. This slim cordless table lamp has no plug, no trailing cable and no fuss, just a warm, dimmable glow that you can put anywhere you like: a dinner table, a bedside, a bookshelf or a garden table on a dry evening. It is the kind of lamp restaurants and hotel bars use to make a table feel intimate, now at home prices.

Important to know before you buy
This lamp is cordless and rechargeable. A battery is built in, and it charges through a USB Type-C port in the base, so there is no mains plug, no wiring and no electrician needed. A touch switch on the base turns it on and off. The light can be set to three colours (warm, neutral and cool white), with dimming. The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy. If it doesn't light up when it arrives, charge it first.

Two shapes, three finishes
Choose the tall disc lamp, 28.5cm high with a 13cm round top and a 9cm base, or the compact lantern lamp, 17.5cm high and 9cm wide, with a clear acrylic shade inside a slim metal frame. Both come in gold, black or silver. The disc lamp sends light up and down for a soft wash across the table. The lantern lamp glows from inside like a modern candle.

The design style: modern minimalist
Modern minimalism is about doing more with less: simple shapes, clean lines and nothing that does not need to be there. This lamp follows that idea. The disc lamp is a slender stem under a floating round top, and the lantern lamp is a clear tube held in a slim frame. Both are made from aluminium and acrylic in clean metallic finishes. The result is light and elegant, and it suits Scandinavian, contemporary and mid-century rooms.

Why it's worth it
A lamp without a cable is simply more useful. You can move it from room to room, take it to the table when you eat, or set it down on a shelf where there is no socket. It makes a room feel cosier without any rewiring, and the dimming lets you set the mood for dinner, reading or a late-night drink.

For your home
Put it on a bedside table, a desk, a sideboard or the kitchen counter. Use a pair on a dining table or either side of a sofa for an elegant, glowing symmetry. For outdoor evenings, set it on a covered table, and bring it in when the weather turns.

For designers and trade
A cordless table lamp is a favourite for restaurants, cafés, bars, hotels and wedding venues, because it needs no sockets and no cable management. Two shapes and three finishes make it easy to match a scheme, and several lamps can be charged together.
